How this actually plays

1. Start with a real card, not a gimmick. Cast Stiltzkin on turn one. On turn two, suit him up or deploy Sram, Clarion Spirit, Thraben Inspector, or a mana piece. From turn three, Sentinel’s Eyes lets him attack with lifelink and then tap in second main to make a sale.
2. Make the Moogle an engine. Sram turns Auras and Equipment into cards. Mask of Memory, Tome of Legends, and Prying Blade keep the hand and mana moving; All That Glitters makes the tiny lifelinker into an actual threat. Heliod’s Pilgrim finds the Aura the moment needs.
3. Sell choices, not lockouts. Jinxed Idol, Jinxed Ring, Torture Chamber, and Voodoo Doll are hot potatoes. Bloodthirsty Blade sends an opponent’s best attacker elsewhere. Hithlain Rope and Akroan Horse make the whole table part of the deal. No card says opponents cannot cast creatures or use their colors.
4. Use the one real trap sparingly. Nine Lives is the exception: it is a legitimate liability once it changes hands. You can remove it with an enchantment wipe, but the deck is better when this produces one memorable moment—not when every game becomes a gotcha.
5. Win a normal Commander game. Clarion Spirit, Battle Screech, Martial Coup, White Sun’s Zenith, Myr Battlesphere, and Knight-Captain of Eos make bodies. Intangible Virtue and Goldnight Commander turn that board into a fast finish.
